The Ford Ranger is Making a Comeback

If you havent heard already, the beloved Ford Ranger is making its return. The Ford brand recently announced that the Ford Ranger is currently being revived to join the Ford truck lineup for 2019. Building on over 100 years of Ford Trucks relentless focus on engineering excellence, the Ford Ranger will deliver top-notch toughness, durability, and capability.

To ensure that the truck can earn the Built Ford Tough badge, the Ford brand is currently putting the Ford Ranger through an extensive series of demanding tests. The tests start in the lab then move to intense real-world challenges in locations around the world. From grueling lab tests to robotic testing too harsh for humans to ensure, from jagged trails in the Australian Outback to the Arizona desert, the Ford Ranger is being put through the same testing standards used for the legendary Ford F-150.

We torture every component from its high-strength steel frame to its EcoBoost® engine to its cloth and leather-trimmed seats to ensure [Ford] Ranger is ready for any season and nearly any terrain, said Rick Bolt, Ford Ranger chief engineer.

Its clear that the Ford Ranger is destined to be a truck made for adventures. Full details have yet to be released, but from what we do know, the Ford Ranger delivers the same uncompromising capability and toughness weve come to expect from Ford trucks. It is equipped with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine with Auto Start-Stop technology which is paired with the innovative, class-exclusive 10-speed automatic transmission. Numerous advanced driver-assist technologies will be offered along with innovative technology such as in-vehicle Wi-Fi and the Ford SYNC® infotainment system.

We expect the Ford Ranger to hit our dealership near Hampton, VA sometime in early 2019. Until then, check the line of Ford trucks we have in our inventory.
